Cycling UK affiliation for groups and individuals

Once you have set up a campaigns group, you may find that not everyone is a Cycling UK member. The group and the individuals may still receive support and advice from the Cycling UK campaigns department, however, by becoming an affiliated campaigns group.

Do you campaign locally with other cyclists, friends or colleagues in a group? Do you organise local campaigns or talk to your local council or local authority officer about a better deal for cycling? If your club affiliates to Cycling UK, the Campaigns and Policy Department can help support you.

Cycling UK Affiliated Campaigns Groups

Your group may want the benefits of Cycling UK's expertise, but not want to become a formal Cycling UK Member Group. In that case, you should think about becoming affiliated to Cycling UK. The benefits of affiliation include:

Free £10 million Organisers' Liability insurance

Local stalls and events can help gain support for your group or your campaign (this is subject to such events being organised in accordance with Cycling UK guidelines).

Your group receives a free copy of 'Cycle'

Cycling UK's bi-monthly magazine full of news, articles and expert advice from the world of leisure and utility cycling

Support with setting up a group and/ or accruing new members

This includes support from Cycling UK Volunteer Support Officer to get off the ground, and contact local Cycling UK members advertising your group

Campaigns advice and resources

Individuals that wish to become affiliated within your affiliated group will be entitled to further benefits.

Rates are competitive and start from only £50 per year plus a one-off registration fee of £25. It's easy to do, with a just a couple of forms to fill in and send back to our Membership Department.
