About us

Hunter Campbell Fat Boys Cycling Club are a Cycling UK affiliated group. It is a leisure cycling club based in East Antrim. We ride primarily in the Ballyclare, Carrickfergus and Larne areas, including the Antrim Coast and hills. We also ride in Co. Down. Despite our name (which says something about the origin of our club, though the term 'boys' is sheer flattery) we welcome lady members and have several who ride with us regularly. We try to be a sociable and welcoming group and our morning rides always include a stop for breakfast and possibly coffee as well. Look for us on Facebook to find out where we are riding and the times and places we are setting off from.

Information about the group rides

Rides generally take place on Sunday mornings throughout the year and mid-week evenings when light and weather permit. In addition to our regular rides we also organise longer trips in Scotland and Ireland. The highlight of our 2018 season was a Charity run from Cork to Ballycastle. We are a leisure cycling club and while we are experienced cyclists our pace is generally moderate. Our weekly rides are usually 30 - 50 miles.
