Information about the group rides

The Dalbeattie Community Ebike project provides free group cycle rides for all abilities using electric bikes.

We aim to provide the opportunity for the community to:

  • Gain confidence on a bike
  • Learn more about ebikes
  • Practise cycling skills
  • Improve fitness
  • Explore local area
  • Meet like minded people

Rides start and finish in Dalbeattie and using a mixture of quiet roads, cycle paths and woodland tracks.

Ride route, length and timing are matched to the aims and ability of participants. We include plenty of opportunity to rest, chat or practise cycling skills.

Rides are lead by trained volunteers from the Dalbeattie Community Initiative

There are opportunities to join the project as a volunteer and benefit from cycle ride leader and first aid training courses.
