CTC East Midlands
CTC East Midlands Region is the sole survivor of a number of 'regional DA's' set up over 20 years ago.
In addition to facilitating a close liaison and collaboration between the six full member groups within the region, CTC East Midlands Region also organises, in normal circumstances, three main events each year.
The East Midlands region contains the six CTC/Cycling UK Member Groups of Alfreton CTC; CTC Derby and Burton; Leicestershire and Rutland Cyclists' Touring Club; Cycling UK Lincolnshire; CTC Northampton; Nottinghamshire CTC.
At the ARM on the 19th April 2021 the following officers and committee were elected:-

Treasurer - Ian Hill (CTC Derby and Burton)

Other committee members are representatives from each of the six Groups plus members from the region's CTC/Cycling UK general membership, Affiliated Groups and Cycle Advocacy Network.

CTC East Midlands Region normally organise a number of activities each year:
1. Beaumanor Hall East Midlands Cyclists' Touring Club Regional Rally, usually held over a Bank Holiday weekend
2. CTC East Midlands Region Forests Audax (200k) held in September
3. Mince Pie Run, held on the last Sunday before Christmas
This annual event is one of the highlights of the calendar and attracts cyclists from across the East Midlands Region. There is a tombola in aid of 'Rainbows Children's Hospice'. The last time the Mince Pie Run was held in 2019, a magnificent £1500 was raised for the charity. See Rainbows letter.
