Our focus is to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable on our group rides, ensuring that nobody feels overwhelmed or in a Place were they feel inferior to our regular riders.
With groups for beginners, those with a little cycling experience or those with more miles in the legs we've a group to suit everyone.
Don't worry if you don't have a road bike, with a number of bikes and helmets which are free to use we can accommodate complete beginners.
Group rides gather from 845 am at Galgorm CArpark convenient to Galgorm Community CEntre. Following the ride briefing the four groups (beginners, intermediate 1 and 2 and advanced) then commence their rides at 9 am.
On alternating weeks the groups then meet together at the designated coffee stop at 1030 am - (currently due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be no shared coffee stops but individual groups may stop at the discretion of the ride leader during the course of the ride).
Beginners generally ride approximately 10 miles.
Intermediate 1 generally ride approximately 13-16 miles
Intermediate 2 generally ride 15-20 miles.
Advanced generally ride 20-25 miles.
The pace of each group is decided by the slowest rider and the group will always stay together to ensure no riders are left alone out on the road.
