Rafferty Rides Series & Sunday Coffee pots
Rafferty Rides Series & Sunday Coffee pots
Our Rafferty rides series continues through August and September with led rides on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from Chesham Bois. Meet is at 09:30am by the war memorial. There is a handy shop across the road should you need any food or drink supplies for the ride but our elevenses and lunch stops should ensure you are well catered for.
David Rafferty is an experienced leader who has led many rides with the group and currently these are all easy paced so no one should be left behind. Mileage is up to 30 miles with a pace around 10mph. This Sunday's ride for 21st August 2022:
Meet 09:30 Chesham Bois War Memorial
Elevenses at The Potters Arms in Winchmore Hill. (This pub opens its doors early on a Sunday morning to serve Tea, Coffee, Cakes, Breakfast and more.)
Lunch at the Shoulder of Mutton in Wendover. The pub offers a warm welcome to cyclists and has a good food and drinks menu too. For those wishing to end their ride here the Chiltern Railways station is adjacent on the Aylesbury - Amersham - Harrow - Marylebone line if you do not wish to ride back. The leader will be heading towards Amersham and Little Chalfont after lunch.
