Dear Cycle Ayrshire member
You may have read in the latest Scotland member newsletter about Neil Russell, a solo handcyclist who's doing an epic trip through the Highlands and some Islands. If you missed it you can find out more about Neil and his trip here.
Neil sets off next week sporting a Cycling UK flag and jersey. His route takes him through parts of the Highlands and Western Isles as far as Vatersay and Lewis and then Cape Wrath on the northerly side.
As it happens he's starting his trip on Arran - leaving on Tuesday, in case any members of the group would be interested in riding with him. If you do, please send me a photo! It's publicity@cyclinguk.org or you can share it to our Facebook or Twitter if that's easier.
Instagram is the best way for anyone interested to keep track of where Neil is. I’ve attached his route plan so you can see when he’s planning to be where.
