The June ride programme listed here may appear a little light because two of our June rides are not listed.
They are "away" days at Kenmore and Killin and are already fully booked.
Summer holidays also means some of our regular Ride Leaders are unavailable.
The weekend of June 24th-25th was empty but we have fitted in a ride for that weekend.
Check occasionally on our club website, cycleayrshire.co.uk, for any additions/changes to the programme which may occur in the next few weeks.

Saturday June 3rd. - 21 miles.
Pat S. invites you to join her on a trip to the popular Hayes Garden Centre tearoom.
Out via Craigie and back through Fail so it's not flat but, the pace will be easy and the views are superb.

Sunday June 4th. - 20 miles.
Non-stop 20 so no stops for coffee/food during the ride.
Tarbolton, Stair and St. Quivox are visited along the route.
Approx. 900ft. of ascent during the ride.
There is a short off-road section which is not suitable for skinny road tyres so we suggest minimum 28mm touring tyres for this ride.

Saturday June 17th. - 40-45 miles
An Arran Special.
Not the usual circumnavigation of the island or top/bottom half on tarmac roads.
Steve E. is providing something different by taking us on a mixture of on-road and off-road along a route using roads and forestry tracks.
Probably need minimum 32mm tyres to cope with the mixture of surfaces.
Road race tyres definitely not recommended.
NOTE CAREFULLY THE START TIME OF 8.00am at the Brodick Ferry Terminal, not at Ardrossan.
If you are coming from the mainland, you need to catch the 07.00 ferry at Ardrossan.
Return ticket cost was £8.40 at 22/5/2023.

This ride is part of the Darvelo ‘23 cycling weekend organised by the Darvel Area Regeneration Team.
Sample sociable group cycling with Cycle Ayrshire ladies.
We’ve a scenic route on quiet roads and paths which take us alongside the river to Galston over Windyhill to Newmilns and back to Darvel via the riverside or Lanfine Estate.
It’s not all flat but we cycle at a relaxed pace and take hills slowly, walking if necessary.
At the end of the ride there will be a chance to enjoy coffee and a chat in the open-air cafe.
The total distance will be approximately 14 miles.
Under 18s must provide parental consent and under 13s must be accompanied by an adult.

All bikes must be legal and roadworthy.

Drew K. leads a North Ayrshire ride as he navigates his way from Kilwinning Station to Lochwinnoch via Barrcraigs Reservoir.
Picnic style lunch at Castle Semple Visitor Centre or you can use the Visitor Centre cafe.
Return via cycle paths to Dalry then on to Kilwinning.
Approx. 1650ft. of ascent along the route.
