A symbol of women’s emancipation since the 1890s, the bicycle proved useful to the suffrage campaign. This talk by Hugh Morgan (Merton Cycling Campaign) will feature the country’s most significant and influential cycling suffragette – Merton and Wimbledon campaigner, Rose Lamartine Yates.
