It is not a race, it is a social/group ride for cyclists looking for an adventure
After all the success of our London 2 Brighton off road bike ride which we desigend and help run with the British Heart Foundation, (which is now Europes largest off-road charity bike ride!), we've come up with this new and unique adventure event. Not only does it offer a few route changes, but it will go through the night, delivering you to Brighton seafront for a magical sunrise. It is an awesome adventure that you will talk (and brag) about for years to come, to colleagues, family and even strangers on the train.
Starting from the Pig & Whistle pub near Richmond, the route passses through Richmond Park, past the deer, to join beside the River Thames, passing fancy riverside residents, and then onto the canal and beyond the M25. Now in idyllic countryside the route follows a mix of trails, including some nice singletrack, passing over both the North and South Downs, for a fast and furious descent down to Brighton to finish, with a coffee and bacon buttie in hand, while watching the sun rise from the sea as the dawn breaks.
Stats: 122km with 1,450 metres of climbing (75 miles & 4,760ft)
Start: near Richmond Park, London, SW14 8LP
Finish: Brighton seafront, BN3 2WN
The terrain is a mix of dirt, gravel, tarmac, chalk, roots, sand, stones and grass, so there are no ‘right’ tyres or bike, which makes it all the more interesting and inclusive to all cyclists.
