The Gormire gathering is a special day, dedicated to cyclists. Set in a Picturesque Village under the imposing ridge of Sutton bank.

Organisers are asking participants to let them know approximate numbers so please let me know if you can attend.

Buffet meal is £8 incl tea and coffee. Special requests: Some of the food will be vegetarian. Organisers are happy to cater for vegan but required approximate numbers for catering. Coffee/Tea is just £1.00. Of course some may want to bring their own food which is no problem.

The hall is on the right side of Thirlby as you cycle towards the North York Moors 4 miles east of Thirsk between Felixkirk and Sutton- under- Whitestonecliffe it is here that the lunch will be served.

Lake Gormire is approximately a mile from the village and is well worth a visit if you haven’t been before. It is said to be bottomless and is thought to be over 20,000 years old, formed by glacial erosion and is steeped in history and has many myths and legends.

Please let us know if you can attend by Friday 3rd June 2022
