The Gospel Pass

 Car- or train-assisted moderate 50 mile ride from Abergavenny to Hay-on-Wye, heading out along the Monnow Valley through Craswall, and returning over the Gospel Pass.

Two strenuous climbs, fantastic descents, and sublime views, as well as what is arguably the best lane in SE Wales. Meet 9.45 a.m. at the Oasis Snack Bar, Abergavenny, NP7 5LH, for a cup of tea and a 10.00 a.m. departure. The 08:51 from Cardiff Central arrives in Abergavenny at 09:28; return 17:10, arriving 17:56. We’ll visit The Globe in Hay for lunch, but bring snacks as well for along the way.
