Driving Road Safety Forward is a short, online course available for free to employers in Northern Ireland, which will help ensure their employees are skilled in safe driving techniques around people cycling.

Whether your staff who drive as part of their work, for their commute, on outside of work in their personal life, the 15-minute course will teach key skills such as how to safely overtake cyclists, reduce the risk of ‘car-dooring’ and better understand where cyclists position themselves on the road.

This will help create safer driving habits for all and encourage more people to cycle.

Developed with support from the Department for Infrastructure, the course is available for free to all employers in Northern Ireland, who are then expected to encourage staff to take part.

If you would like more information, and would like to consider offering the course to your employees, please get in touch with our Northern Ireland Engagement Officer, Joshua Murray.

If you think your employer should offer this course to staff, but they currently don’t, why not share this page with them and ask them to get in touch with us directly.
