R-Evolution are a Cycling UK affiliated centre.
We run two cycle training workshops – one in HMP Humber prison for 15 men and another in the community for ex-offenders. We teach cycle mechanic skills and award qualifications. These are used to help people into work (preferably in the cycle industry).
We run 10 bike libraries in schools where we provide pools of 20+ bikes at each location for children to ride for free. We service these bikes over the course of at least a year. We also work closely with local councils to provide safe cycling workshops as part of this project.
We provide bikes for partner agencies and people in need, in addition to selling newly refurbished bikes at really affordable prices to encourage people to take up cycling. The bulk of our activity is deprived communities.
We also get involved in local events including ‘try a bike’ (inc e-bikes) and promote cycle routes, training to the public, local clubs and fix bikes for free.
