Give it a Spin - Live!@ New Scene, Chester offer inclusive cycling outdoors at the Live! New Scene Youthcentre. The centre provides people of all abilities with the chance to enjoy cycling in a supportive, safe and comfortable setting, and they have a wide range of adapted and regular bikes available. The CTC guide to adapted cycles, provides some useful information about the types of cycles they offer.
The centre is affiliated to CTC and operates under the Give it a Spin project through Live! Cheshire. Live! Cheshire was established in 1993 as a partnership between Barnardo’s and the then Cheshire County Council Youth Service. In 2002 Live! Cheshire gained charity status and started to develop its clubs and services.
Live! Cheshire are a community-based registered charity and are supported by a community support group, Friends of Give it a Spin (FoGiaS). FoGivaS includes friends from the local area, CTC members, Sustrans rangers, local campaign group members, all-inclusive participants and members staff. Their Development Action Plan is available and overseen by Live! Cheshire and FoGiaS.
Today, Live! Cheshire run a variety of projects and clubs for all children and young people plus regular activity programmes during school holidays and events around Cheshire throughout the year. The focus is on providing safe and comfortable environments where kids can have fun and do things like dancing, cooking, arts and crafts, music and learning social skills.





- Sessions run outdoors, in a safe park environment on smooth tracks and pathways.
- They welcome children of all ages and young people to take part in inclusive cycling.
- Wheels for All trained staff and volunteers offer assistance at all sessions.
- The centre has a wide range of adapted bikes to choose from.
- Riders are free to try out any of the centres bikes and swap over during the session.
- They would like to run additional sessions. If you know other individuals or groups who might benefit from using their adapted bikes, please send them an email or speak to a member of staff at New Scene Centre Live!
