Ridgewood Community High School offer inclusive cycling sessions for their pupils and the public too. They have a wide range of adapted bikes to choose from, please see CTCs guide to adapted cycles for more details.
Ridgewood Community High School is affiliated to CTC and supported by Cycling Projects, Wheels for All initiative.
The school provides education for children with special needs and disabilities and they are excited about a scheme launched recently by Danny Ings, the Burnley Superstar. He has part funded a project, to deliver football coaching for disabled youngsters to this region.
Located on the outskirts of the city centre to the north-east, places of interest nearby are the Acton for Autism organisation and the Mill Textile Museum.



- The centre holds inclusive cycling sessions for pupils and anyone from the public with special needs.
- Just turn up and join in.
- In fair weather riders cycle outdoors, on a smooth tarmac surface, please wrap up warm.
- Under poor weather conditions, the sessions take place in the sports hall indoors, on a smooth surface.
- Their adapted bikes include a wheelchair carrier, quads, 3-wheeler bikes, hand cranked cycles and a recumbent.
