Make cycling "as easy as possible" in Greater Manchester, says Lib Dem mayoral candidate

Jane Brophy, Liberal Democrat candidate for mayor of Greater Manchester, told Cycling UK about her plans for cycling.

Jane Brophy is the Liberal Democrat candidate for mayor of Greater Manchester and she told Cycling UK that if she is elected as mayor, she plans to make it, "as easy as possible for people wishing who want to use their bikes for work and for pleasure". 

Referring to Sadiq Khan's recent announcement of spending £17 per head on cycling in London, Brophy said: "As mayor, I will definitely be seeking that level of investment to make cycling an option for everyone in Greater Manchester". 

She added that "we've got to make cycling accessible to all people" - not just "for men of working age".
