Fun for Families

During Bike Week, thousands of people around the UK will be heading out on their bikes as households, couples or individuals. Take part with the resources below.
Activities for the cycling family

Cycling has been a great release for many families during the pandemic and we hope you’ll continue to enjoy cycling with the family and celebrate by taking part in the Bike Week festivities between 30 May and 5 June. It’s your chance to celebrate all that’s great about cycling.

The latest Government rules say although we have to maintain our social distancing and be at home where we can, unlimited exercise is now permitted.

To help keep families active during this time we’ve created a free Bike Week resource pack with indoor and outdoor activities you can do as a family. From cooking to colouring, to bike challenges, it’s got it all.

Share your activities with us and download the certificate to reward your child

We’d love to see how your family embrace our activities during Bike Week. Tag photographs of your children cycling and more by using @wearecyclinguk and #7daysofcycling.

Don’t forget, if you go for a ride during Bike Week (30 May - 5 June) and tag us in your pictures and videos and log your ride there is also a chance you could win prizes.

Your child could win a cycling jersey designed by themselves

Bike Week is all about having fun on your bike and one of the best ways you can do this is by going for a ride with the family. To make it even more special this year we’re giving your child the chance to win a cycling jersey designed by themselves.

How to take part

  1. Download the children’s partner pack and design the cycling jersey
  2. Tag us in the photo of your design and tweet #7daysofcycling or email us with your photograph

Don’t forget once you leave the house on your bike to keep two metres distance away from others not in your household and wash your hands when you get home.
