Aileen Brown

Aileen Brown has been the membership secretary for the historic Bath Cycling Club for many years, helping to attract and support new female cyclists of all ages. She’s a qualified ride leader, organising the social Saturday rides, and helps to run and cater her club’s events. In short, the club couldn’t run without the efforts of fantastic people like Aileen.

Aileen says, “I live and breathe cycling.

“I love the camaraderie. The people I’ve met through cycling are like an extended family; sociable group riding is therapeutic and the perfect environment to destress and share anxieties. Ride leading is also really rewarding when everyone comes back smiling.

“Our motto is that ‘we start together, finish together, and still want to ride together next week!’”

Cycling UK’s 100 Women in Cycling is an annual list celebrating inspirational women who are encouraging others to take part in this wonderful and life-enhancing activity.
