Adele Mitchell is part of Cycling UK's 100 Women in Cycling 2018 list for sharing her passion for mountain biking through her writing.

Adele Mitchell is an award-winning writer who is mad about mountain biking. Throughout her career she’s written for a number of national titles both inside and outside of the cycling world, and today regularly contributes to Total Women’s Cycling, as well as the Velovixen blog, Singletrack magazine and Singletrack World. Her self-titled blog offers an insight into the world of mountain biking from the perspective of a woman, from equipment and clothing, to events and finding inspiration.

In April, Adele helped to run ‘Letting Ourselves Go’, an event with Look Mum No Hands! to highlight and celebrate an ‘invisible generation’ of older women who love to ride.

Adele favourite part of being out cycling is: “The sense of freedom, challenge and being in the great outdoors. Through my writing, I also love inspiring other women to ride!”

Cycling UK’s 100 Women in Cycling is an annual list celebrating inspirational women who are encouraging others to take part in this wonderful and life-enhancing activity.
