About us

Cycling UK is the UK’s cycling charity, and we believe cycling can transform lives and communities. Our vision is of a happier, healthier and cleaner world because more people cycle.

The role

Making cycling e-asier is an exciting new programme funded by the Department for Transport and run by Cycling UK and partners. As senior project officer, you will lead your team of up to four behaviour change officers to help make e-cycling a regular part of daily life through effective project planning, operations management and tracking

A key part of this role will be to collaborate with the communities programme manager to support the growth and development of stable community hubs. Managing the operational programme delivery across the communities, workplace and education, and Evans Cycles hubs, while supporting your team in the management of a mobile fleet of e-cycles from top brands, will drive forward the aims of the Making cycling e-asier programme.

Can you inspire and motivate people to use e-cycles and support this programme to create lasting, impactful change?

The candidate

A creative and motivated relationship-builder, you will dynamically lead your team of behaviour change officers. First-hand experience in engaging and working with at least one of the following: community-based organisations, social enterprises, the voluntary sector, or statutory public services will be essential.

This knowledge might be from past work experience, or it could be that your hobbies and interests revolve around volunteering within your community.

A proactive and engaging disposition will enable you to build excellent local relationships to support growth of the programme, helping drive beneficiary numbers.

If you have the qualities, skills, and experience to fulfil this vital role, and would like to help make the e-cycle programme a success, tell us!
