North Manchester Community Cycling Club is looking for a volunteer publicity officer to increase awareness of the valuable benefits it brings to the community. Please see the full role description below.
Volunteer from home with occasional meetings in Cheetham Hill
When and how often
This is flexible but ideally to publicise at least one ride a month
About the group
The club’s main aim is to promote cycling as a leisure activity to disadvantaged people and the wider community, giving people a chance to go cycling in a group, raising awareness of how cycling could help with health and wellbeing, and tackling inactivity in the community. It also wants to introduce cycling as a means of transport by helping people who have either never cycled or not cycled for a very long period to get on their bikes. The club has been running successfully for over a year now but needs a volunteer to improve its public profile so that it can let more people know about and benefit from its activities. Read about how one of the volunteers got involved here.
