Location: Home based, flexible location (some travel across England and to Head Office)

Salary: £30,600 - £38,760 per annum

Contract: Full time, fixed term until 30 April 2023 (with possible extension, if funding is secured)

A hugely exciting and challenging opportunity to lead and manage a portfolio of projects and a team of project officers to plan, manage, deliver and evaluate a range of community engagement projects across England.

We are looking for a highly motivated, well organised, and proactive individual who is hungry to embrace the challenges and successes of encouraging a diverse public audience to enjoy the benefits of cycling. 

This exciting role offers the opportunity to work within the behaviour change team at Cycling UK in England on a range of programmes aiming to increase the uptake in cycling amongst the most underrepresented sections of society, continuing Cycling UK’s work as experts in the field of behaviour change and active travel.

The programme manager will be responsible for Cycling UK’s training department, as they deliver a suite of training interventions to charities, social enterprises and community groups across England in support of behaviour change programmes.    

In addition, the programme manager will take a key role in developing and delivering innovative new behaviour change projects across England. Working with internal and external stakeholders you will design and implement meaningful behaviour change interventions that will increase uptake in cycling particularly amongst those most underrepresented. 

We are looking for someone with a passion for active travel and behaviour change, with experience of developing and managing multiple projects. You will have an aptitude towards building relationships, working with external funders, and will be able to motivate a team working at a distance.
