Communications and Media Officer

Location: Home based, flexible location (regular travel to Head Office in Guildford expected when restrictions allow)

Salary: £26,500 - £30,500per annum

Contract: Full time (37.5hrs p/w), permanent

An exciting and engaging opportunity integral to delivering Cycling UK’s communications strategy is available for a highly motivated, creative, and enthusiastic individual to join our communications team.

The successful candidate will act as an initial point of contact for media enquiries, develop and nurture our existing positive media relations as well as build new key contacts to portray Cycling UK’s work in a positive light enabling the movement for our strategy to get a million more people cycling. Excellent communications skills and proactive planning strategies are essential for this role as the post holder will be liaising with all internal departments as well as external partners, while co-ordinating media materials such as video content, instructional information, and press releases.
