Charlie joined Cycling UK in August 2021 having worked in the charity sector for the last 20 years across a wide range of causes.
After starting out with the Royal Society of Arts, Charlie worked for 10 years in the human rights sector for Freedom from Torture and spent 4 years at ActionAid UK working on the child sponsorship and direct marketing programmes. In recent years he has taken on a number of interim contracts including stints leading income generation teams at St Luke’s Hospice in Harrow and at Crohn’s and Colitis UK.
Charlie’s team leads on the membership programme at Cycling UK and on developing new and existing income streams to support the work of the charity. The income generation team work on developing corporate and commercial relationships to support the charity as well as appeals, raffles and other fundraising initiatives.
Charlie rides regularly with his local Cycling UK member group and also enjoys a bit of BMXing despite his age.
