Going the Extra Mile: Cycling UK's Volunteer Awards
Our annual Volunteer Awards recognise excellence by individuals and others in many different areas of our cycling groups, projects and programmes.
There are also certificates and awards that can be made throughout the year for exceptional achievements, long service as a volunteer or simply just to say thank you.
Going the Extra Mile: Certificates of Appreciation
Certificates of Appreciation were introduced in 2019 to replace the Certificate of Merit and are given to people nominated by our volunteers, Trustees and staff to people or groups who have given exceptional service to Cycling UK.
Certificates of Appreciation have been awarded to:
- April 2019 Grampian CTC for 30 years of providing cycling activities to members and encouraging new cyclists
- August 2019 Martyn Aldis of Cornwall for excellent work promoting cycling in the area for many years
- September 2019 Chester and North Wales Caer a Gogledd Cycmru for 80 years of outstanding voluntary service
- October 2019 Pat Harrow for her service to CTC Tayside for more than 22 years
If you think somebody deserves special recognition for their achievements volunteering for Cycling UK, whether over a long period of time or for just one outstanding contribution, please contact the Volunteering Team.
