Play on Pedals, a project that is enabling every pre-school child in Glasgow to learn to ride a bike, celebrated a milestone this week by reaching over 7,000 children with this important life skill.

Before hearing about the Big Bike Revival in Scotland, the last time Chhaya had been on a bike was over 20 years ago. After attending two led rides offered by Edinburgh and Lothians Regional Equality Council (ELREC), she now can't get enough of cycling.

Sheila Tuckwood, who steps down after 20 years as secretary of CTC Grampian later this month, won the award for Best Volunteer Achievement at Cycling UK’s Annual Members’ Get Together in Manchester on Saturday (8 October).
