In this week's CycleClips, we launch this year's Big Bike Revival Summer of Cycling, ponder whether a love of the Tour de France might inspire us to ride more, we've got a special offer on tickets for the Cycle Show, there's a novel way to beat the traffic by bike, we're not cheesed off with Cheddar, and more.

With Bike Week finished, the Tour de France due to start and lots of cycling events taking place round the country, it's a busy time in the cycling world. I've personally just completed a 100-mile Tri-Vets ride with South West London CTC, done a 20-mile off-road ride with colleagues for Bike Week and a summer solstice night ride to watch the strawberry moon come up - all fantastic experiences!

In this week’s CycleClips we bring news of a fantastic few days for two of Cycling UK’s flagship projects – Bike Week and the Big Bike Revival. We also have exclusive offers for members, plus the heartwarming tale of the seven-year-old cyclist who had a princely time as Cycling UK celebrated The Queen’s 90th birthday at the Patron’s Lunch.

Thank you for following my LEJOG blog and for sending us your best wishes. It was a truly memorable ride, despite the weather - one I would highly recommend. Now I’m back, I’ve updated my blog with my highlights, hints, tips, and a complete kit list, some items of which will be reviewed in due course. Don't forget our Lejog pack if you are inspired to do the ride yourself.

It’s a jumbo, jam-packed edition of CycleClips this week that reflects everything Cycling UK stands for. This week we catch up with our usual CycleClips Editor, Julie Rand, as she nears the end of her LEJOG challenge, ask whether you voted bike at the polls, give you a chance to win a great book, take a look at a hover bike and give you a 'heads up' on Bike Week 2016.

CycleClips 29 April 2016 - 20 Jul 2016 - Publication
We're offering two Cycling UK members the chance to win tickets to attend The Queen’s Patron’s Lunch in The Mall. We also wonder why the Government isn’t milking cycling for all it’s worth, highlight the only two remaining Cyclists’ Memorial Services in the country, and preview the famous York Rally. Wishing you all a great Bank Holiday weekend of cycling – and some long-overdue mild weather!
