Cycling organisations have taken a united stance today (Wednesday 21 January 2015) in opposing key aspects of the draft New Forest Cycle Event Organisers' Charter proposed by the New Forest National Park Authority (NFNPA).
Jasuben had been wanting to join her husband on family rides for many years but had never had the opportunity to learn to cycle until she heard of some adult cycle sessions run through Cycling UK's Cycle Champions project in Leicester. Now, she's not only cycling but she's gained lots of confidence too.
Pat Lemon's interest in cycling was sparked when she read about another female cyclist in local newsletter. The problem was, she hadn't cycled in sixty-five years! Now, with the help of Cycling UK cycle training, she is back on her bike.
Brenda was keen to join in one of the local led rides; the only problem was, she’d never ridden a bike before! Through the help of Cycling UK’s Ross Adams, she’s now riding a bike and cycling with her family.
CTC-affiliated campaign group CycleSheffield has been organising a Friday Night Ride once a month for the last six years, since Bike Week in 2008. The unique rides explore the city and the surrounding countryside, with a different theme every time.
Bringing a section of Northshore to Ride Leicester’s Sky Ride was a fun way to link up two aspects of the CTC at a great city festival. Five miles of closed roads and the chance to ride through the football stadium attracted families from across the region.
