Having turned 40, I reflect that I’ve spent half my time cycling - the rest of the time was wasted…
Is this just a dream or will I make it come true one day? Cares Gorge by Edwin Jones

Having ticked off track, PBs in time trials, mountain biking, road racing, the Etape du Tour, all with much enjoyment, yet dubious results, I’ve decided that the time is now to write my cycling ‘bucket list’ – my personal cycling must-dos before the wheels inevitably turn more slowly. Here they are:

1.       Improve my downhill riding skills- off-road and on road

2.       Go on a weekend wild touring with my sons

3.       Get slim enough to justify buying a Rapha jersey

4.       Do the Land's End to John o’Groats tour, tasting local beers

5.       Build my own steel bike frame

6.       Do The Tour Divide - a 2745 mile off-road route from Banff in Canada to New Mexico

7.       Do the cycle pilgrimage along the Camino Santiago [2]

8.       Ride the Stelvio Pass in Italy

9.       Learn to unicycle/do a wheelie/track stand

10.     Finally break in a Brooks saddle

What's on your cycling bucket list?
