CTC's ‘Bike Tweak’ gets you geared up for cycling!
When it comes to changing an inner tube, adjusting a front brake or tweaking the gears, dozens of cyclists in Surrey and Hampshire will now be fixing it themselves…rather than being left in a fix. And that’s all thanks to the bike maintenance sessions organised by CTC Cycling Development Officer Susan Keywood.

Tribute Ride success is a Billie bonus
More women look sure to be cycling this year – thanks to a legend who set a world record way back in 1938. CTC members were among the hundreds of women who took to their bikes throughout 2015 in memory of Billie Fleming, who rode the greatest distance ever cycled by a female 78 years ago.

CTC in bike donation appeal after 'callous' theft
CTC is appealing for people to donate children’s bikes after heartless thieves stole 12 cycles used for popular after-school sessions in Reading. The bikes were taken during a break-in at Palmer Park Sports Stadium during the early hours of Tuesday 15 December.

Chancellor George Osborne today announced in his Autumn Statement that just £300m will be available for cycling over duration of this Parliament. At just £60m per year, this is a staggering 58% cut compared with the current year's projected spending of £142m.

Patchy picture for local cycling levels, new figures show
New figures just out on local levels of walking and cycling in England last year (2013/14) show not much change over the year before in the proportion of people cycling at least once a month. Some local authorities, however, are witnessing significant increases in cycling rates.

Bike Week launched by parliamentary peloton
