The Play on Pedals Partnership celebrates the project's success
Play on Pedals, a project funded to enable every pre-school child in Glasgow to learn to ride a bike, marked the end of its current funding on Thursday at a celebratory event at the Glasgow Bike Station.

Despite 'safety' concerns by officials, over 4,000 riders took part in the Pedal on Parliament ride in Edinburgh, while nearly 500 joined a Space for Cycling ride in Sheffield. Hundreds more joined rides in Newcastle and Aberdeen on 25 April.

Top cyclists support Play on Pedals

Play on Pedals has received support from two of Scotland's cycling heroes - triple Paralympic Gold medal winner Aileen McGlynn OBE, who recently scooped two silver medals at the Commonwealth Games, and James McCallum, who won bronze in Melbourne in 2006.
