A busy end to summer in the Chilterns
It's a packed end to the cycling season with a number of local club events in the calendar. Cycle Chilterns will be supporting these in a number of ways, as well as attending a variety of other local events offering a range of activities.
August
Bucks County Show - Thursday 29 August
Once again we'll be attending this popular agricultural show with a Shoretrax portable MTB track and bikes for riders of all ages to have a go on. We'll have a wealth of information to help get people out on their bikes too, so pop along and have a chat. Full details here.
Pumptrack Race, Aston Hill - Saturday 31 August
The new Aston Hill pumptrack, funded by Cycle Chilterns, will be put through its paces for the first time at the downhill race weekend organised by the Aston Hill CTC member group. Work on the pumptrack is in progress at the moment and more events will be announced soon. Details about the race weekend are on the Aston Hill website.

Cyclists' Breakfast, National Trust Ashridge Estate - Sunday 15 September
Cycle Chilterns are holding a Cyclists' Breakfast at this year's Chilterns Countryside and Food Festival, organised by Chilterns Conservation Board.
The festival is a great day out for all the family with children's craft activities, local produce and more. As a special treat, anyone that arrives by bicycle between 10am and noon will be given a voucher for a hot drink and breakfast bap or pastry at Brownlow's cafe. National Trust will also be running a special membership offer. Full details are on the events page.
Berkhamsted Bikefest - Sunday 22 September
Returning after a break in 2012, the Bikefest is organised by Transition Town Berkhamsted as part of their work to improve their town. There are a range of cycling activities for all ages. We'll be running a led ride beforehand. Full details will be available soon.
October
Bucks MTB Family Fun Day, Wendover Woods - Sunday 20 October
Organised by the Bucks MTB affiliate group, the day's activities will include bike orienteering, group ride games, individual challenges and more, all finished off with a BBQ in the gorgeous surroundings of Wendover Woods. More details about the event are on the Bucks MTB website.
