Cycling UK is pleased to announce the launch of the Big Bike Revival in England and Scotland. The Big Bike Revival is an award-winning programme developed by Cycling UK designed to encourage thousands of people to cycle for leisure and every day journeys. Now in its second year in Scotland and its fourth in England, the Big Bike Revival helps people to bring their bikes back into use by providing bike health checks, sharing maintenance knowhow and giving people more confidence in the saddle.

Little surprise, then, that we hear about blind spots whenever lorry left hooks and cyclists are mentioned. It has been slow progress, but direct vision standards are now one step closer following the latest Transport for London consultation, with a plan to keep off-road lorries where they were designed to be - off-road, not in the city centre.
