Cardiff Cycle Challenge

Organisations across Wales rise to the Challenge

Three Cycle Challenges will take place across Wales this summer in Cardiff, Swansea and Gwynedd - Anglesey.

CTC Challenge for Change and Environment Wales have teamed up with Local Authorities, Sports Council Wales, Public Health Wales and local cycling organisations to deliver a Cycle Challenge on a national scale in Wales.

The programme has built on the success of the Cardiff Workplace Cycle Challenge project in September 2011 and aims to encourage more people to cycle in Swansea, Gwynedd, Anglesey and in Cardiff again this coming summer.

Workplaces, community groups and individuals will be encouraged to join the free and fun competition that will specifically target non and infrequent cyclists to hop back on a bike.

The three Challenges are all due to start on 2 July  and conclude on 22July .

Recruitment of workplaces, local organisations and participants is already underway. To follow the progress of each Cycle Challenge or to join in, you can visit the location specific websites:

This work was funded by the Welsh Government SSL scheme, delivered by Environment Wales and Cynnal Cymru-Sustain Wales.
