Bike-only hire



Cycling on the flat part of the velodrome.


Per disabled cyclist: £5 (if you need a supporter/carer they are included in the price)

Per non-disabled cyclist: £5

Special family price (up to 4, including at least one disabled cyclist): £10

Limitations on use

None, although participants must have registered with WfW (no charge for registration). We aim to share out time on popular cycles, and to prevent non-disabled siblings from using machines that disabled participants want to use.

  • Upright trikes for adults and children
  • Recumbent trikes/'go-karts'
  • Hand-trikes
  • Side-by-side trikes
  • Tandems (both 2-wheel & trikes)
  • Wheelchair trikes (2 types)
  • Tag-alongs
  • Race-runners

(approx 40 machines available for each session)

Booking arrangements / times / charges etc

No booking required. Drop-in sessions run on:

  • Mondays: 11:00am - 1:30pm (10:30am - 12:30pm during half-terms and school holidays)

Free car parking available, accessible toilets; free drinks available (tea, coffee and water).

Flat, MUGA area.

Offer advice on suitability of bikes for riders?

We have trained cycling instructors available to advise/assess rider's suitability for various machines.
