Surrey Hills

The Surrey Hills offer a fantastic mix of trails for all mountain biking styles. The favored locations tend be between Shamley Green laying at the western end of the hills just 4 miles SSE of Guildford, through to the east at South Holmwood located a few miles to south of Dorking.

As time's gone by many of the regular trails have been named, and include the now famous 'Barry Knows Best' which has feeatured in a number of mountain bike magazines over the last few years. The trails within the hills use a mix of bridleways, fire roads and desingated single track. Pitch, Holmbury and Leith hills have now become popular destinations and are easily linked into a ride, if you are considering a long circuit perhaps starting from one of the railway stations located in the Tillingbourne Valley (Chilworth, Gomshall or Dorking West) you'll also be able to incorporate the North Downs Way to lengthen your route if need be.
