About this project

Recyke y’ Bike is a charity, founded by CTC member Dorothy Craw in 2006, that accepts donated bikes from the public. Trained mechanics and volunteers fix them up for resale to the community to finance the enterprise and to finance the transporting of some to community projects in Africa. Cycle training and maintenance classes are also offered

Yes. Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturdays 10.00 – 4pm

Collection service for donated bikes

No but we have drop-off points around the region – Hexham, Berwick, Durham, Sunderland

What happens to the reconditioned bikes?

They are sold from the Workshop to the public and given to youth clubs, asylum seeker or homeless organisations
