About this project

New Start Bikes is a social enterprise using unwanted bikes to provide training opportunities. Our trainees are typically looking to return to employment or who need support in other areas of their lives.

We work with Highland Council to divert bikes from landfill as well as accepting donations from individuals.

Our retail outlet and workshop sells affordable reconditioned bikes of all types, second hand parts and also offers a repairs service.

Accept bikes donated by the public

We are open Mon – Fri 10am – 5pm and Sat 10am – 2pm

Collection service for donated bikes

In the Inverness area.

What happens to the reconditioned bikes?

Bikes are restored by our trainees and volunteers, fully checked by our qualified mechanics and then sold to support the project.
