About this project

Headset is a non-profit making association with a steering group and a range of partners including Dorset County Council, Synergy Housing, The Police, The Methodist Church, Rethink, B-Side, The Westham Community Group, and IPACA. It provides affordable bicycle repair, maintenance training and workshop facilities for the local Portland and Weymouth community. Headset has been operating a community based bicycle workshop situated in the grounds of The Royal Manor Campus of IPACA since January 2012. It is currently funded through the Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF) that Dorset County Council is deploying through to 2015.  This funding supports Headset deliver five objectives, which promote the aspirations of the LSTF and the use of sustainable modes of transport.
