About this project

Since 2008 we have provided individuals from marginalised and underprivileged groups the opportunity to repair & keep a bicycle through our Earn-a-bike scheme. People taking part in this scheme are welcome to return to the project, either to maintain their own bike or to volunteer. We also run workshops for women & young people, offer maintenance courses, sell reconditioned bikes and operate a repair service for the general public.

Accept bikes donated by the public

Yes, we are open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, plus 7:30 – 10:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Collection service for donated bikes

Unfortunately not at this time, although we have occasionally made arrangements with local business looking to get rid of 10+ bikes

What happens to the reconditioned bikes?

Most bikes will be used in our Earn-a-bike scheme, although some may be reconditioned and sold to help fund our various community projects.

Reconditioned bikes for sale

Some of the bikes donated to us are reconditioned and sold to help fund our community work
