On Sunday 18th December the East Midlands Cyclists' Touring Club hosted the annual Mince Pie Meet at Belton in Leicestershire. This annual event that was originally established by a few riders meeting together back in 1978 now attracts hundreds of riders from Leicester, Derby, Nottingham and the many other towns and villages within range, plus some car assisted riders from further afield. This year's event was particularly successful,  with the blessing of a mild and sunny day which saw an estimated 500 riders attending. The raffle for the Rainbows Childrens' Hospice in Loughborough raised the record sum of £620.
