Charity Treasure Hunt 23 Miles

Distance of the ride:
23 mi

There are two routes both of which start and finish at the village hall.

The shorter 10 mile route is intended to be specifically suitable for new riders and families with younger children, staying mainly on the canal towpath and a couple of sections of quiet lanes and includes a look at the newly opened Steven Burke Sports Hub cycle track.

The longer 23 mile route includes the challenge of the climb out of Barley, used by the 2010 National Road Race Championship won by Geraint Thomas of Team Sky, followed by the descent towards Twiston before heading back to the village hall.

The entry fee is £5, all of which will be going towards the purchase of disability adapted cycles to be used by Pendle Council's ‘Wheels for All’ scheme. Sponsorship forms also available for any entrants wishing to raise further funds for this charity.

Please contact for entry forms or any further information.
