The Traffic Commissioner has finally called a Cornwall haulage company to a Public Inquiry 28 months after the deaths of two Land's End to John O'Groats cyclists as CTC presses for tighter regulation and enforcement against operators and employers.

 
 
The number of drivers found guilty of any 'causing death' offence in England and Wales dropped by 11% between 2013 and 2014, even though the number of people killed on the roads has recently shown an upward trend.
