Women are disproportionately under represented in cycling, and even more so in mountain biking and off-road riding. But, they have much more to gain from participating in riding in terms of the health, social and well-being benefits cycling can bring. Julie Rand explains why improving access to the countryside is particularly important to women.

The future of cycle access in our countryside

Welsh plan for connected communities - why detail is important
The Welsh Government is about to legislate to force local authorities to map out and plan improvements to the cycle networks. Although a great step, I think it's vital that the routes are of a proper standard to make cycling attractive and feasible.
