Certificates of Merit and Certificates of Commendations are administered by Cycling UK's National Office and ratified by the Awards Committee, a sub-committee of our board of trustees.

Should you wish to nominate a person for an award you must submit a letter (or email) to the Awards Committee of Cycling UK, addressing your letter c/o Sue Cherry at our national office address in Guildford.

This letter needs to lay out clearly why you believe a Certificate of Merit or Commendation is the appropriate award and what this person has done for Cycling UK and cycling. Please provided as much information as you can about this person.

At this stage it is also a good idea to write the 'citation'. This essentially says the same thing as the letter, but is written in such a way as to be appropriate for presenting to the recipient along with the framed certificate,  3/4 of an A4 page is enough.

The certificate is framed and the citation produced onto good quality paper and all is then sent by post ready for the special presentation date. Should you have any query please ring Sue Cherry on 01483 238302.
