Our members and volunteers are at the heart of our organisation. They run thousands of rides a year and have helped us to get one million people cycling and keep cycling. Our awards and honours recognise their colossal efforts for the good of cycling.

Nominations open for Volunteer of the Year Awards 2015/16

Nominations are now open for our Volunteer of the Year Awards 2015/16. If you know of someone or a group who you think really stands out amongst the crowd for their hard work and success for cycling, we want to hear from you with your nominations.

Long Service Awards

These awards started in 2003 and are automatically awarded from the membership data and sent out from the Membership Department for those members celebrating continual membership for the following years :-

  • For 10 years membership you receive a Presidential letter.
  • For 25 years membership you recieve a Presidential letter, Certificate and Badge.
  • For 50 years membership you receive a Presidential letter, Certificate and Badge.
  • For 75 years membership you receive a Presidential letter, Certificate, Badge and Personal Gift.

Arthur Moss Merit Award

Awarded in recognition of outstanding services to the Club to the 'Volunteer of the Year' and is held for a period of one year. A continuous record is held on the trophy and a medallion is presented as an annual award.

Both the Long Service and Arthur Moss Merit awards can be awarded twice under exceptional circumstances.

Certificates of Merit and Certificates of Commendations are administered by Cycling UK's National Office and ratified by the Awards Committee, a sub-committee of our board of trustees.
Cycling UK Local Group ride
The Cycling UK Volunteer of the Year Awards are for the people and groups throughout the UK and Ireland who deserve the most recognition for their achievements as volunteers.
Roll of Honour - Past Certificate of Merit Winners
This section lists all Cycling UK members who have been presented with either a Certificate of Merit or a Certificate of Commendation with links to their Citations. Both Awards are presented to members who have have given outstanding service to Cycling UK and Cycling.
